A Letter to New Life Community Church

What’s up New Life? Here are 5 things I want to share with you…

#1—Sunday was AWESOME! Numerous people stepped forward to profess their faith in Jesus Christ; people crossing over from death to life…that NEVER gets old! Pastor Jim challenged each of us to take an honest look at our lives, to evaluate our priorities, and check our hearts to see if we’ve left any room for Jesus to be LORD. Our church responded by declaring Jesus must be EVERYTHING and person after person confessed complacency and a desire to be BETTER, a desire to REDEDICATE their life to Christ! I’m EXCITED to see us continue GROWING and CHANGING…the BEST IS YET TO COME!

#2—Keep praying for our people in Bolivia! Last week we sent out 26…yes, 26!!! people to the country of Bolivia! 26 people to share the HOPE of salvation through Jesus Christ! 26 people to invest in and disciple new believers! 26 people to start new churches! 26 people who will NEVER BE THE SAME! Pray for them by name. Pray for the entire group. Pray for Bolivia. Pray for doors to open up. Pray for hearts to be made receptive to the richness of God’s GRACE and MERCY! Pray God uses them to change the country of Bolivia!

#3—In his message this past weekend Pastor Jim discussed the importance of and power of CONFESSION in our lives, citing Acts 19:18. Talk about timing! This Friday, at Celebrate Recovery, Martin Katz will be teaching Lesson 12: CONFESS. I’m anticipating lives will change! I’m anticipating God to truly set some people free from the pains and burdens of the PAST so they may experience joy in the PRESENT! Dinner is served at 6p. Worship & teaching starts at 7p. Groups open at 8p.

#4—This upcoming weekend we celebrate Father’s Day. What are you getting your dad? Do you have something special planned? The typical gift I want is…silence…an empty house…alone time…relaxation. Can you say SELFISH? Not any more. I am personally making the decision to be different this year and I’m praying God gives me the ability to INSPIRE the men in our church to do the same. This Sunday I’ll be sharing a straightforward message on BIBLICAL MANHOOD. I’m PUMPED to share the message and EXCITED about the potential for change! There will be no holding back.

#5—I LOVE MY CHURCH!
