11But Moses said to God, "Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?" 12He said, "But I will be with you, and this shall be the sign for you, that I have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain."
Exodus 3:11-12 ESV
I don’t know about you, but when I hear God speak, when I feel God nudging me to move in a certain direction or connect with a particular person, I’m not always overwhelmed by JOY. In fact, sometimes, I feel so overcome with FEAR that I want to run in the opposite direction or, at the very least, argue with God for a moment (or a while). Reading Moses’ story, I know I’M NOT ALONE!
YOU’RE NOT ALONE!
Read that again. Shout it aloud! Feels good, doesn’t it?
Moses said, “I can’t.”
God said, “It’s ok. I can and I’ll be with you.”
I would like to suggest God is telling us the very same thing.
