You Started It!

God who began the good work within you will keep right on helping you grow in his grace until his task within you is finally finished.
Philippians 1:6 TLB

Remember the blame game? You probably played it as a child (chances are you’ve continued as an adult as well) and you probably played it A LOT!

“He started it!”
“She did it first!”

It was ALWAYS someone else’s fault. There was ALWAYS someone who went before you, leading you in the wrong direction; you were just an innocent party. Right…

As followers of Christ we have the opportunity to participate in a similar dialogue with the God who created us. We get to look at him and say, “You started it!” The only difference is, we don’t do it to cast BLAME, we do it to get HOPE! And here’s the awesome part, God’s plans are GREATER and BETTER than anything you or I could EVER possibly imagine or come up with ourselves!

He started it.
He’s still doing it.
He’s going to finish it.

So go ahead. Shout it. Shout it LOUD! “YOU STARTED IT!” and know that He’s going to keep on helping you THROUGH IT until it’s finally finished.
