I'm Struggling, Aren't You?

Actively participating in a recovery community I’ve heard it all (and I’m not even talking about from OTHERS). I’ve probably used every excuse possible to justify my struggles and poor decision-making. Well, that’s not entirely true because I’ve heard some GOOD ones that I never even remotely came close to coming up with (then I coveted their creativity).

Probably the #1 excuse or example of DENIAL I’ve heard and continue to hear on a regular basis is: “I don’t really have a struggle.”

Right.
Sure.
Ok.
Yes, that’s called sarcasm.

Hey, I’m not throwing stones here. I was the guy who said, “Recovery? I don’t need that. I’m sober.”

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1 John 1:8 NKJV

The truth is we ALL need recovery from SOMETHING or SOMEONE and we ALL struggle in some way.

What are you hiding from? What are you hiding away? What secret are you holding onto? What are you struggling with? Who can you share this with?
