Fixing You Takes The Focus Off Me

Discovering someone you love is struggling can be devastating. How can this be? Why is he doing this? I don’t understand. She’s killing herself. Doesn’t he get it? Can’t she see what she's doing?

You want to rush in and fix the situation. You want to save the day. You’ve already figured out the best possible solution and devised a 5-step plan of action to freedom.

Stop.

Fixing OTHERS is always easy. It takes the focus off of YOU.

Reflect:

  • Jesus said, and I paraphrase, “If you’re going to point a finger make sure you’re pointing it at yourself.” How often do you talk about and point out the faults of others?
  • Why are you quick to point out the faults of others yet struggle to identify your own?
  • Make a list of your Top 3 current struggles. Are you blaming others or taking responsibility?
