Can I Be A Believer And Still Struggle?

Yes, but it's totally YOUR choice!

Meeting Jesus isn’t about IMMEDIATE, radical, miraculous change (I’m not saying it CAN’T happen, I’m just sayin’ that’s not what it’s about). It’s a process. It’s a journey. God wants to change you RIGHT NOW, but He’s willing to work with you, at your pace. It would definitely be easier if God just did it—less work, less stress, less time, less energy. Remember, it’s a process. It takes time. Chances are you’re gonna mess up somewhere in between. Chances are you’re going to slip up and struggle (though you might kinda like it so it won’t seem like a struggle… at least not at first). Paul, the dude who wrote the most books in the New Testament, wrote about this very thing…

For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.
Romans 7:18-20 NIV

This is INSANITY.

Insanity is doing the same thing again and again expecting different results each time. You might have some things in your life right now that you’re doing again and again believing things will turn out differently THIS time, but they don't. They never have and they never will. It’s time to just stop.

What is it? What do you need to stop? What do you need to quit? What do you need to let go? What’s holding you back and holding you down? You want to experience FREEDOM? Stop TALKING about it and start DOING SOMETHING about it!
