Silence Is Golden, Right?

Silence is golden (or so I’ve heard). What do you think? Personally, I think this saying needs an amendment. Here are some recommendations…

Silence is golden…

…as long as I want silence.
…when my jam comes on the radio.
…at the movies.
…while enjoying my bacon cheeseburger (all the way) at 5 Guys.
…when I’m done listening to you.
…when lying down for a nap.
…when I’m speaking.
…unless I’m feeling lonely.
…until someone is being bullied and nobody speaks up.
…until someone needs to hear my story.
…except Jesus said, “Go and tell people about me.”

Silence is situational. Sometimes I want quiet, other times I KNOW I’m supposed to talk, speak up, tell somebody something… or just sing really REALLY loud! What about you? Chances are you’ve picked SILENCE over OBEDIENCE… ouch. I know I have. It sucks.

You might need to speak up today, will you?
