Why is People Pleasing so Dangerous?

Don’t be so quick to judge Pontius Pilate. He was stuck in a predicament many people find themselves in: people pleasing. You might not WANT to do something, but for whatever reason you do it ANYWAY. You COMPROMISE your character. You COMPROMISE your morals. You COMPROMISE your beliefs. You didn’t plan on doing that thing, but you didn’t want to offend that person or let them down, so you did it.

Pilate didn’t FIND any guilt in Jesus.
Pilate didn’t WANT to see Jesus crucified.
Pilate didn’t WANT to see Jesus murdered.

But he was handed over ANYWAY.
But he was hung on a cross ANYWAY.
But he was murdered ANYWAY.

Before you point a finger at Pilate and ask, “How could he?” you better look in the mirror and ask yourself, “How could you?”
