What If God Was In Control?

Preparing for a visit to the doctor’s office is NEVER fun. I don’t know how your mind works, but mine takes me through a whole laundry list of possibilities (and none of them are ever positive). I KNOW I shouldn’t entertain all the “what if’s” but it’s not always easy to ignore them.

What if the doctor hears something?
What if the doctor sees something?
What if the doctor feels something?
What if the doctor finds something?
What if the results come back positive?
What if it’s cancer?
What if it’s my heart?
What if I need surgery?
What if this…
What if that…

How about this…

What if God has it under control?
What if God’s grace is enough to pull me through?
What if God has something greater in store for me?
What if God truly was the source of my strength?
What if God was the remedy?
What if God was my hope?
What if God was working it all together for my good?
What if God used me to share hope with someone else?
What if God this…
What if God that…

What if I simply changed my perspective and started focusing on what God IS doing instead of what my mind projects MIGHT happen? Maybe today you just need to take some time and ask God to refocus your eyes a little, to readjust your perspective on life, and help you rediscover the hope you once had (before you were faced with an impossible situation or probable impossible situation).
