How To Respond When Your World Is Falling Apart

How do you respond to those moments when it seems like no matter what you do, no matter what you say, no matter how you respond, no matter what decision you make, NOTHING seems like it’s going to work, help, or get you out of whatever it is you’re in?

You feel like God is silent.
You feel like no one around you cares or understands.
You feel invisible.
You feel alone.
You feel cold.
You feel numb.

What do you DO? You want to SCREAM! But what will that accomplish? You want to hurt someone or yourself. But what will that do? You want to cry (some more). But how does that help?

It’s times like this, those moments when you feel like you’ve reached the end, when you can’t go any further, that you’re left with no other option than to TRUST GOD. I’m not talking about the kinda trust that feels good because everything around you seems to be falling into place. I’m talking about the kinda trust that rips your guts out because you don’t see any light at the end of the tunnel and all you wanna do is quit. Believing God is STILL there, believing God is IN control… THAT’S trust! THAT’S faith! THAT’S believing! THAT’S  strength! THAT’S courage!

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28 NIV)

He hasn’t forgotten about you.
He hasn’t left you.
He’s been there all along.
He’s still tryin’ to work things out.

Will you have the faith to believe?

Will you have the patience to wait?
