I want easy.
I don’t want to work at it.
I want it to fall into my lap.
I don’t want to get caught up in the rush and worry of
things.
I want to wake up and everything be done.
I want to show up after everything is complete.
I don’t want to feel the pressure of a deadline.
I don’t want to the stress of urgency (because everything somehow manages to be an
emergency).
I want to relax.
I want to observe.
I want to be served.
These are just a few of the thoughts that run through my
brain from the moment I wake up to the moment I decide to actually start my
day. Everyday is a struggle to be productive. Everyday is a challenge to keep
going. I wouldn’t say I’m lazy, but that’s because I don’t want to acknowledge
it. I wouldn’t say I’m a procrastinator… at least not yet.
God’s purpose and plans require work. God’s purpose and
plans are far from easy and don’t often make sense (at least not at first). We
want God to just make things happen while God’s like, “I already put things in
motion, already set things in place, already made a way, now it’s your turn to take action and do something about it.”
How about you?
What’s going on with you?
What’s that thing God call you to do that you’re still waiting for someone else to do?
Regardless of your past, regardless of your present, God has
plans for you to change the world and
be a difference in the lives of
others.
Don’t wait for someone else.
Don’t let life pass you by.
Don’t miss out on your purpose.
Get rid of the excuses and replace them with some action.
